Recalls Issued for Undeclared Nuts, Milk, and Soy

 Three recalls have been issued recently for undeclared allergens. One allergic reaction was reported to officials, in the Food Lion Dill Pickle Flavored Potato Chips recall.

The first recall is for Food Lion’s Dill Pickle Flavored Potato Chips, for undeclared milk. This product was sold in Food Lion stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, Delaware, Maryland, and West Virginia between December 1, 2017 and July 19, 2018. The product is in a 7.5 ounce bag with UPC number 035826103925 and with lot codes: 03333405, 03234705, 03334705, 03135505, 03100305, 03200305, 03301205, 03101905, 03202605, 03203409, 03303905, 03104005, 03204605, 03105405, 03305405, 03106106, 03106805, 03307305, 03308105, 03108205, 03109005, 03310305, 03110405, 03111105, 03212505, 03312505, 03113105, 03213105, 03314409, 03114509, 03214509, 03115408, 03215408.

The second recall is for GiftTree Sherman Candy Caramels, sold online in several gift baskets. The product may contain undeclared pecans, almonds, walnuts, and/or peanuts. This candy was sold in the Metropolitan Gourmet Gift Basket, Encore Gourmet Gift Basket, Champagne and Confections Gift, Toast of California Wine Basket, California Classic Gift Basket, The 5th Avenue Wine Gift Basket, Fit for Royalty Gourmet Basket, As Good As Gold Gift Basket, Sophisticated Gourmet Mailer, Fresh Fruit and Chocolate Keepsake Chest, Country Estate Gift Basket, Italian Roast Coffee Chest, and Veuve Clicquot Tasting Gift Basket. They were sold by GiftTree and 1stopflorists.com and were shipped directly to consumers nationwide from July 1, 2017 through July 16, 2018. No mention is made about whether or not any allergic reactions have been reported.

And the third recall is for undeclared soy in Seattle Sourdough Pub Bun and Franz Premium Pub Buns. These products were distributed through United States Bakery distribution systems between 6/24/18 and 7/17/18 in Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Utah. The recalled products are Seattle Sourdough Pub Bun 6pk, net weight 16 ounces, with UPC number 0-72220-10164-5, and Franz Premium Pub Buns 12 pk, net weight 32 ounces, with UPC number 0-72220-70218-7. Both items are packed in a poly bag with a best before date between July 3, 2018 and July 31, 2018. No illnesses have been reported to date in this recall.

If you bought these items and are allergic to the undeclared allergens, don’t eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
